Vented Sensor Cable

Vented Cable is a type of signal cable which has 1 or 2 vent tubes running through the cables core for the purpose of providing a vent path between the electrical connections at either end.

This type of cable is typically used on pressure sensors which have a sealed cable electrical connection.

In particular vented cable is fitted to submersible pressure sensors which are used to measure liquid level, because it is necessary to cancel out the effects of atmospheric pressure by allowing air pressure to reach the reverse side of the pressure sensor.
