Netafim Flat 4-Way Multi-Outlet Drip Assemblies are pre-assembled components designed for high-density planting, creating efficient distribution points from a single mainline supply within a drip irrigation system.

Physical Construction and Specifications
The assemblies are constructed from black polyethylene plastic and feature a flat, multi-outlet emitter body with four barbed outlet ports arranged in a rectangular pattern. The models are distinguished by two key dimensions: the Arrow length (Standard or Short) and the length of the attached drip tubing (ranging from 18 to 48 inches). All models provide four lateral outlets per assembly. Each assembly includes a factory-installed, pressure-compensating (PC) drip emitter at the base for precise water delivery.

Functional Mechanism and Design
The assembly functions as a manifold. The inlet connects to a pressurized mainline, and water flows through the integrated pressure-compensating emitter. This PC emitter regulates the flow to a specified rate (e.g., 0.5, 1.0, or 2.0 GPH) regardless of minor pressure fluctuations in the mainline. The water is then distributed evenly through the four outlet ports into the attached lengths of secondary lateral tubing, allowing for precise, point-source irrigation at multiple plants from a single connection. The "Flat" design is intended for easy installation on the ground or under mulch.

Target Applications and Performance
These assemblies are engineered for commercial and high-value horticulture, including vegetable row crops, berry patches, vineyards, nursery container production, and greenhouse potted plants. Application Specifications and Protocol
Selection is based on required lateral spacing. The Standard Arrow length provides a greater reach between the mainline and the first plant, while the Short Arrow is for tighter layouts. The attached tubing length (18", 24", 30", 36", 48") determines the spacing between the four outlet plants. Installation involves punching a hole in the mainline polyethylene tubing and inserting the assembly's barbed inlet fitting. The four lateral tubing lines are then attached to the barbed outlets and routed to the plant bases. The system operates at standard drip irrigation pressures, typically 10-30 PSI.

Handling and Safety
The polyethylene components are durable for agricultural use but should be protected from direct ultraviolet (UV) exposure when not buried or covered by mulch to prevent premature degradation from sunlight. The barbed fittings require careful handling during installation to avoid damage. No specific chemical hazards are associated with the inert plastic materials.
