Details

Aquagation AquaDrip drip assemblies are the preffered complete emmiter assembly in the fast growing hydroponic or soilless segment in the irrigation market. It is ideal for precision applications where highly tuned sealing and opening pressures are required.

Designed to withstand clogging and operate under a wide range of temperatures for years of uninterrupted use.  Aquagation emitters are slightly bulkier than some of their peers but this robust and durable design is what farmers refer to as the backbone of their irrigation stratedgy.  Having confidence fertigated water will be consistently delivered to crops is the core of what makes Aquagation products sought after all around the world.

COMPONENTS

  • SNAP-PEG DRIP STAKE - The stake connects to the micro tubing by holding the outside diameter of the tubing rather than fitting into the inside diameter of the tubing and reducing flow.  Black and gray stakes are available.  Stakes are robust and durable for longer duration use.  The bottom of the stake acts as a plug should usage of specific lines no longer be required.  Stakes are easy to detach yet will not detach on their own.
  • MICRO TUBING - Tubing is coextruded white/black with a white outside layer to dissipate heat and a black interior to block light penetration.  Tubing is medical grade in many cases to prevent the growth of unwanted bacteria and pathogen.  Tubing comes in varying lengths and custom sizes with the most common being 18-Inch, 24-Inch, 30-Inch, 36-Inch, and 48-Inch.  Tubing is slightly more rigid than other competing products to ensure longer duration use, less degredation during stake and emitter replacement, and better elevation of lines off the ground.
  • AQUADRIP EMITTER - Emitters come with an array of flow rates, connections, pressure ratings, and features.  The 0.53 GPH emitters are one of our most common and widely sold.  The reduced flow rate ensures uniform watering and horizontal movement to fully saturate the entire substrate.  When flow rates get too high for selected grow media volumes water is driven vertically and channelling occurs.  Side Outlet emitters are a common feature to better position lines relative to the plants orientation on benching or in pots.  Top Outlet Emitters are also available.  Emitters are barb x barb so as to connect to PE Tubing lines on one side and the micro tubing on the other.  Emitter colors indicate flow rate and operating pressure.  There are a broad range of flow rates and Low, Medium, and High operating pressure emitters.  Low Pressure Emitters are Brown/Orange while Medium Pressure Emitters are Blue/Orange.  This refers to the pressure at which the emitter will open and flow begins.

Trusted the world over for performance and flexibility, each dripper features a self-cleaning mechanism and precision manufacturing for maximum reliability.  Barbed side outlet – A unique Aquagation feature drives the water straight to the plants roots.

Minimum Working Pressure 9.95 PSI
Maximum Working Pressure 49.8 PSI
Sealing Pressure 2.13 PSI
Start Opening Pressure 4.26 PSI

It used to be the case that crop producers had to purchase individual components and self assemble their drip irrigation emitters.  Now, everything shows up ready to use.  These assemblies come pre-assembled with a 0.53 GPH emitter, specific length of micro tubing, and a snap-peg drip stake.

APPLICATIONS

Common applications for Aquagation AquaDrip Irrigation Assemblies are:

  • Greenhouse grown crops
  • Orchards
  • Vinyards
  • Hydroponic or soilless substrate crop production
  • Facilities that cannot have excessive runoff
  • Reliable delivery of water soluble fertilizers
  • Farms using coco, peat moss, or rockwool substrate

HOW TO PURCHASE

Once you have decided on flow rate, in this case 0.53 GPH, count up how many plants you will have per zone and how many emitters.

For example, if you have 100 plants that each have 2 emitters then you will have 200 emitters x 0.53 GPH = 106 GPH.

Divide this number by 60 to get 106 GPH into GPM.

106/60 = 1.76 GPM

Once you know the flow rate, make sure your pump is sized correctly.  In this example a pump capable of producing 2 GPM at approximately 40 PSI would be easy to find.
