One common question we hear from growers is “How should I stake my crop for support during the early growth stages?”  Stakes can be expensive and there is everything from low-cost bamboo to expensive metal options.  What we have come to believe in are fiberglass plant stakes. 

These low-cost alternatives to both bamboo and expensive stakes options can be used for years to come, don’t cost much more than bamboo when purchasing in bulk, and hold up very well in direct sunlight.  At MORR we have the ability to customize the color, length, width, tip, and just about anything needed.

Common applications in agriculture include grafted plants pending shipment, recently planted trees including nuts and citrus, and grapes.

Common sizes are 40-Inch, 48-Inch, and 72-Inch.  Common widths are 5mm, 8mm, and 9.5mm.  Color preference varies based on preference.  Tips can be plain or pointed.  Varying amounts of UV Inhibitor can be used depending on desired duration of use.
