Advion Ant Bait Arenas are ready-to-use, granular ant bait stations designed for the control of nuisance and invasive ant species.

Chemical Composition and Formulation
The active ingredient is Indoxacarb at 0.045%. The formulation consists of inert, food-grade carrier granules impregnated with the active ingredient, contained within a child-resistant plastic arena station.

Functional Mechanism and Design
Indoxacarb is a sodium channel blocker insecticide. Foraging ants collect the granules and recruit other workers to the bait source. The slow-acting nature of indoxacarb allows the bait to be shared through the colony via trophallaxis (food exchange), effectively reaching the queen and brood. The plastic arena protects the bait from rain and non-target species while providing access ports for ants.

Target Applications and Performance
This product is labeled for the control of a wide range of nuisance ant species, including Argentine ants, pavement ants, odorous house ants, cornfield ants, and thief ants. It is intended for use around the perimeter of structures, in landscapes, and on hardscapes. It is effective for controlling foraging trails and eliminating colonies.

Application Specifications and Protocol
The arenas are pre-baited and require no mixing. Placement is critical: stations should be positioned along ant foraging trails, near nests (if visible), and at intervals around the perimeter of a structure (typically 2-4 feet apart). Do not place stations where they will be exposed to direct sprinklers. One bag typically treats the perimeter of an average-sized home. Bait is not consumed all at once; stations remain effective for weeks.

Handling and Safety
The product bears the signal word "CAUTION". While the arena design minimizes exposure, applicators should wash hands after handling. The stations should be placed out of reach of children and pets, though the child-resistant design provides a barrier. Used stations should be disposed of with regular household trash. Do not contaminate water, food, or feed by storage or disposal.
