Staal & Plast Ebb & Flow Grow Trays are either in stock or can be manufactuered quickly with maximum lead times generally around a week.  Tray measurements are in mm so there can be several sizes that fall in the category of 4-Foot, 5-Foot, and so on.  Therefore, if you are ordering replacement benches or for benches that have already been purchased from another vendor, please be sure to verify the exact size needed.

COMMON SIZES

Custom sizes are available as well as other common sizes we do not stock.  One Piece Trays are another common option for customers that cannot or do not want to cut and glue trays together.  Often rolling bench systems that have automated tray distribution and collection systems require One Piece Trays and Staal & Plast is able to manufacture to spec for such cases.

Expandable Staal & Plast trays consist of a STARTER PIECE that begins the row and an END PIECE that completes the row.  The END PIECE contains a sump where optional Bulkhead Fittings can be added for drainage.  Between these two pieces are an endless number of MIDDLE PIECES that connect together tounge and grove to reach the desired total length per row.    Often middle pieces are either factory cut or cut onsite to reach the exact lenth required.

APPLICATIONS FOR EBB & FLOW TRAYS

Ebb and Flow trays are popular for indoor grow facilities, commercial greenhouses, and cannabis cultivation, due to their water conservation benefits and ability to provide precise hydration levels tailored to specific climates. Moreover, the trays can be used for:

In addition to the Ebb and Flow irrigation principle, our trays are also commonly used to collect excess water from drip irrigation.  We are continually developing our tray technology for more diverse uses.  How it works:

1. The irrigation water is mixed with nutrients and pumped onto the tables
2. The water is absorbed by the grow media and eventually distributed to the roots
3. The water is filtered and treated before it is returned to the central reservoir
4. The water is reused for future irrigation cycles

Water levels, irrigation time, and nutrient concentration can be customized to plants’ exact needs. Once these parameters are set, the process can be accurately and continuously repeated as your plants reap the benefits.

FIRE RETARDANT TRAYS

We are proud to introduce fire retardant trays for farms using HPS lamps or HID lighting fixtures and concerned with the possibility of exploding lamps setting trays on fire.  These new flame resistant trays do not catch fire and burn like traditional plastic trays.  For more information please contact your MORR sales representative.
