OHP Terrazole L CA Turf & Ornamental Fungicide is a thiadiazole fungicide formulated as a liquid for the prevention and control of soilborne diseases caused by water mold pathogens.
Chemical Composition and Formulation The active ingredient is Etridiazole. It is a thiadiazole fungicide and its Fungicide Resistance Action Committee (FRAC) code is MOA 14.
Functional Mechanism and Design Etridiazole is a soil fungicide that works by inhibiting lipid peroxidation. It is effective both as a curative and a preventative treatment.
Target Applications and Performance This product is labeled for use on ornamentals, nursery crops, and golf course tees and greens. It controls damping-off, root rot, and stem diseases caused by Pythium and Phytophthora species.
Application Specifications and Protocol The product is applied as a soil drench or spray. The application rate is 2.5 to 7 fluid ounces per 100 gallons of water, or ⅛ to ⅜ teaspoon per gallon. For best results, overhead irrigate or drench with water after application to remove leaf residue and improve soil penetration. Applications should begin when disease symptoms are first observed.
