One of the many challenges when sourcing bulk items such as water tanks and PVC pipe is getting them delivered at an affordable price point.  Hiring a flatbed truck for even a local delivery is around $1000 and this goes way up when bringing in takes, pipe, and fittings from out of state. 

To assist in eliminating high delivery fees MORR, Inc. has added tons of inventory, flatbed trucks, and forklifts that transport to the job site for efficient delivery at no charge.

It is common that the desired tank style, dimensions, color, etc. is not locally produced and the water tank requires transport.  Sending a single tank across state lines is costly and multiple tanks can be thousands of dollars. 

MORR operates a fleet of trucks, trailers, forklifts, and other logistics equipment designed to make securing farm equipment and supplies vastly easier.

Additionally, almost every water tank sold requires installation.  That means PVC pipe, fittings, glue, seal tape, check valves, bulkhead fittings, and more. 

We manufacture and distribute PVC Schedule 40 pipe and Schedule 80 pipe, valves, fittings, and flow control products to ensure you have everything required to install and begin using your water tanks.

 Now that we have your water tanks on our truck, the PVC pipe for supply and distribution lines, and all the flow control fittings and valves to ensure proper operation, let’s add in some DWV pipe and fittings or ABS pipe and fittings for drainage and pumps to transfer liquids to their destination.  Whatever you need in this department we can get it to you.

Here is an example:

A plumbing installer was hired to install a water system at a crop production greenhouse in Carpinteria, CA. 

There are local vendors for water tanks, pipe, valves, etc. but since they are regionally focused their pricing was high and their product selection was low.

We were able to next-day deliver (2) 5000-gallon water tanks for holding clean water, (6) 1000-gallon cone bottom tanks with metal stands to be used as plant nutrient stock tanks, and (4) 3000-gallon tanks to hold fertigated recipes before sending them out to the drip irrigation lines.

This system required (2) Grundfos booster pumps capable of delivering 100-gallons per minute. 

These pumps were both installed inline so they could be rotated monthly, and a pump would always be available in the event one went down.  Since they were rotated there was equal wear and tear on both pumps which was preferred to one pump being used up and another sitting on the side brand new.

We often find local dealers carry whatever pump they happen to find rather than the right tool for the job.

Since this job was a multi-acre greenhouse there were several skids of PVC pipe required for the installation ranging in size from 4-Inch down to ¾-Inch pipe. 

The pumps required stainless steel pipe nipples, screen mesh filters, true union shut-off ball valves, and backflow prevention.

Several PVC distribution manifolds were constructed to send clean and fertigated water around the property which involved a wide array of fittings in different sizes, styles, and schedules. 

All these parts except for a few commercial plumbing parts were supplied for the job. 

Our flatbed trailer was loaded up several times and sent out to deliver.  When onsite, our driver was able to operate the Moffett forklift that comes attached to our trailer and self-unload. 

Parts were clearly organized and labeled in separate bags and boxes, pipe was clean without blemishes, and the water tanks were maneuvered into place with the forklift without the need to rent or borrow from neighbors.

Jobsite forklifts allow MORR to efficiently deliver and unload trailers that others struggle to deliver.

The plumbing installer didn’t have his own delivery vehicles or forklift and had he purchased from the local retailer he would have been taxed not only on the parts but on the delivery and extra labor. 

Regional retail distributors are an expensive option when shopping for irrigation, water tanks, and flow control products.
