MillGood Deodorizing Urinal Screens are passive dispensing devices designed to control odor and inhibit uric acid scale in commercial and institutional restroom urinals.
Physical Construction and Specifications The screens are rigid plastic housings containing a solid, scented deodorizer block. Product variants are distinguished by scent (Cherry, Bubblegum, Green Apple) and block composition (standard or non-paraffin). The deodorizer blocks have a specified weight of either 3.5 ounces or 3.25 ounces. All models are packaged in sets of 12 units.
Functional Mechanism and Design The screen rests in the urinal drain. As water flows over the screen during flushing, it gradually dissolves the active ingredients in the deodorizer block. This action releases fragrance to mask odors and deposits uric acid inhibitors onto the urinal surface to prevent scale buildup. The screen itself also functions as a physical barrier to trap debris.
Target Applications and Performance This product line is engineered for maintenance of public, employee, and customer restrooms in commercial buildings, offices, schools, restaurants, and sports facilities. Its performance functions are to provide continuous odor control through fragrance release and to reduce maintenance frequency by inhibiting hard water and uric salt deposits that require manual scrubbing.
Application Specifications and Protocol Application involves placing one screen in the drain basket of each urinal. Screens are replaced on a scheduled basis, typically every 30-90 days, or as dictated by usage levels and visual inspection of block dissolution. No tools or specialized equipment are required for installation or replacement.
Handling and Safety The deodorizer blocks contain fragrance and cleaning agents. Applicators should wear gloves when handling screens to avoid skin contact with the concentrated block material. Used screens should be disposed of with regular solid waste. Avoid contact with eyes, and store in a cool, dry place.
