Loveland Widespread Max - 100% Organosilicone Adjuvant - 1-Gallon (4/Cs)
About this product
Loveland Widespread Max is a 100% organosilicone non-ionic surfactant, based on organomodified siloxane technology, that functions as a wetter, spreader, and penetrant. Added to a spray solution, it lowers droplet surface tension so the spray spreads into a thin, uniform film and covers leaf surfaces at very low use concentrations, improving the performance of tank-mixed pesticides and foliar nutrients.
Composition and Function
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Type | Organomodified siloxane (organosilicone) surfactant |
| Ionic class | Non-ionic |
| Function | Wetter, spreader, and penetrant |
Its efficiency allows the lowest labeled pesticide rate to be used at the lowest recommended surfactant level. Spreading is achieved at very low concentrations, so excessive surfactant rates combined with high water volumes should be avoided, since they cause spray run-off and reduced performance.
Use Rate
For ground application, use 6 to 13 fluid ounces per 100 gallons of spray solution with herbicides, desiccants, and defoliants. Lower rates apply with insecticides, fungicides, plant growth regulators, foliar nutrients, and acaricides; follow the rate specified on the accompanying pesticide or nutrient label. Where a label neither specifies a surfactant nor prohibits one, apply at the rates above.
Mixing
Add the pesticides or foliar nutrients to the tank first and mix thoroughly, then add Widespread Max; filling the tank to the desired water volume before adding the surfactant helps minimize foaming.
Crop Safety and Precautions
The product has demonstrated good plant safety, but not all species and varieties have been tested; treat a small area and observe before full-scale application. Because organosilicone surfactants can be toxic to bees, avoid application during bloom or when pollinators are actively foraging.
Storage
Store in the original sealed container and protect from freezing.
