Details

Loveland LI-700 Surfactant is a specialized agricultural adjuvant formulated from natural soy-oil derivatives, specifically soy phospholipids and propionic acid. It functions as a multi-action agent engineered to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of pesticide applications.

Function and Technical Action
LI-700 operates through a proprietary three-stage process known as LECI-TECH Technology. This system addresses spray management at critical points:

  • To the plant: It reduces spray drift by generating larger, performance-sized droplets that are less likely to be carried off-target by wind.

  • On the plant: The surfactant's high-spread formula improves droplet adhesion to plant surfaces, promoting better retention and coverage rather than wasteful runoff.

  • In the plant: It acts as a penetrating surfactant, enhancing pesticide absorption through the leaf cuticle without causing tissue damage or disruption. Simultaneously, its acidifying components lower the pH of the spray solution, which helps stabilize certain pesticides (notably weak acid herbicides like glyphosate and 2,4-D) and prevents degradation before absorption, maximizing product efficacy.

The formulation is also low-foaming, preventing problematic foam buildup in spray tanks during mixing and application.

Primary Benefits and Compatible Uses
LI-700 is designed to enhance performance across a wide range of crops and is not crop-specific. It works particularly well with insecticides and weak acid herbicides, including glyphosate and 2,4-D formulations.
Key benefits include:

  • Enhanced pesticide penetration and absorption into plant tissues.

  • Prevention of pesticide degradation via spray water acidification.

  • Reduced off-target spray drift for more precise applications.

  • Improved droplet retention and coverage on plant surfaces.

  • A low-foaming application that integrates seamlessly into standard spray operations.
