Details

Talocuper is an assimilable copper formulation designed to prevent copper deficiencies in crops. Copper is adsorbed through both leaves and roots. The product contains 5% Copper (Cu) derived from cupric sulfate pentahydrate. It has a density of 10.43 lb/gal (1.25 kg/L) at 68°F and is available in 2.5 gallon (9.46 liter) containers with a net weight of 26.07 lbs (11.82 kg).

Chemical Composition and Formulation

Application Specifications by Crop Group

Row Crops (corn, sorghum, wheat, barley, dry beans, soy beans, cotton)

  • Foliar rate: 6 to 12 fl oz per acre

  • Application directions: Terrestrial or aircraft application. For terrestrial applications, use 3 to 4 fl oz per 10 gallons of spray volume per acre.

  • Fertigation rate: 1 to 2 pints per acre. Can be applied with any pressurized irrigation system.

Forage Crops (alfalfa, hay grasses)

  • Foliar rate: 6 to 16 fl oz per acre

  • Application directions: Terrestrial or aircraft application. For terrestrial applications, use 3 to 5 fl oz per 10 gallons of spray volume per acre.

  • Fertigation rate: 2 to 4 pints per acre. Can be applied with any pressurized irrigation system.

Vegetables (pepper, tomato, melons, cucumber, squash, pumpkin, green beans, green peas, onion, garlic, potato, sweet potato, carrot, beets, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, radish, leafy greens including lettuce, celery, cilantro, parsley, chards, spinach, asparagus, artichoke)

  • Foliar rate: 10 to 32 fl oz per acre

  • Application directions: For spray volume less than 30 gallons per acre, use lower rates and concentrations of 3 to 4 oz per 10 gallons. For spray volume above 80 gallons per acre, use higher rates and concentrations of 2 to 3 oz per 10 gallons. For aircraft applications, use low to medium rate.

  • Fertigation rate: 1.5 to 2.5 pints per acre. Can be applied with any pressurized irrigation system. For overhead sprinkler irrigation, leach the product from leaves.

Berries (strawberry, blackberry, raspberry, blueberry)

  • Foliar rate: 16 to 32 fl oz per acre

  • Application directions: For spray volume less than 100 gallons per acre, use lower rates and concentrations of 2 to 2.5 oz per 10 gallons. For spray volume above 120 gallons per acre, use higher rates and concentrations of 2 to 2.5 oz per 10 gallons. For aircraft applications, use low to medium rate.

  • Fertigation rate: 1.5 to 2.5 pints per acre. Can be applied with any pressurized irrigation system. For overhead sprinkler irrigation, leach the product from leaves.

Vineyard (wine and table grapes)

  • Foliar rate: 10 to 32 fl oz per acre

  • Application directions: For spray volume less than 50 gallons per acre, use lower rates and concentrations of 2 to 3 oz per 10 gallons. For spray volume above 100 gallons per acre, use higher rates and concentrations of 2 to 3 oz per 10 gallons. For aircraft applications, use low to medium rate.

  • Fertigation rate: 2 to 3 pints per acre. Can be applied with any pressurized irrigation system. For overhead sprinkler irrigation, leach the product from leaves.

Fruit and Nut Trees (orange, lemon, lime, mandarin and hybrids, grapefruit, apple, stone fruits including peach, apricot, plum, cherry; nuts including almond, walnut, pecan, pistachio; avocado, fig)

  • Foliar rate: 16 to 36 fl oz per acre

  • Application directions: For spray volume less than 80 gallons per acre, use lower rates and concentrations of 2 to 3 oz per 10 gallons. For spray volume above 120 gallons per acre, use higher rates and concentrations of 2 to 3 oz per 10 gallons. For aircraft applications, use low to medium rate.

  • Fertigation rate: 2 to 4 pints per acre. Can be applied with any pressurized irrigation system. Use low to medium rate with drip systems; use medium to high rate with any sprinkler system.

Nurseries and Landscape (ornamentals, trees, turf, sod)

  • Foliar rate: 8 to 20 fl oz per acre

  • Application directions: For spray volume less than 30 gallons per acre, use lower rates and concentrations of 2 to 4 oz per 10 gallons. For spray volume above 50 gallons per acre, use higher rates and concentrations of 2 to 4 oz per 10 gallons.

  • Fertigation rate: 1 to 2 fl oz per 1,000 square feet. Can be applied with any pressurized irrigation system. Use low to medium rate with drip or overhead sprinkler systems; use medium to high rate with other sprinkler systems.

Use Restrictions
Do not mix with pesticides including mineral oils, liquid lime sulfur, bentazone, clopyralid, trichloroacetate, etridiazole, dithianon, and TMDT.

Storage and Handling
Avoid low temperatures in winter and temperatures above 82°F (28°C). Avoid direct sunlight and long storage periods. Keep out of reach of children. Keep away from food, drinks, and cattle feed.

Use Limitation
Use only in case of necessity. Do not exceed the recommended rate. The user is responsible for any damages caused by lack of efficacy, toxicity, or residues due to failure to follow label instructions.
