Details

Lidatrition is a nitrogen-based liquid fertilizer obtained by enzymatic hydrolysis of soy protein. Unlike synthetic nitrogen sources that deliver mineral nitrogen as nitrate, ammonium, or urea, Lidatrition provides nitrogen in the form of soluble peptides and free amino acids derived from hydrolyzed soy protein. These organic nitrogen compounds are taken up directly by plant leaves and roots without requiring soil microbial transformation, making the nitrogen available immediately upon application. The amino acid fraction also functions as a biostimulant: specific amino acids such as glutamate, glycine, and proline chelate micronutrients, enhance chlorophyll synthesis, improve stress tolerance, and support protein production in developing tissues. The product is recommended as a supplement to a regular fertilizer program to improve crop productivity and promote plant vigor in vegetables, citrus, fruit trees, vine, olive, floriculture, ornamentals, nurseries, and industrial cultivations. It has a dark brown appearance, a density of 10.43 lb/gal (1.25 kg/L) at 68°F, and a pH of 6 ± 0.2. It contains no hazardous substances requiring labeling under EU regulations.

Chemical Composition and Formulation

  • Total Nitrogen (N): 9.6% (8.4% water-soluble nitrogen, 0.6% ammoniacal nitrogen, 0.6% ureic nitrogen)

  • Derived from: Soy protein hydrolyzate

The product is a liquid. Available package sizes: 1.32 gallon (5 liter) container with net weight 13.77 lbs; 0.26 gallon (1 liter) container with net weight 2.75 lbs.

Functional Mechanism
Lidatrition supplies nitrogen as amino acids and small peptides rather than as nitrate or ammonium. Foliar-applied amino acids are absorbed directly through the cuticle and stomata, bypassing the root uptake system and the soil nitrogen cycle. Once inside the leaf, amino acids are either used directly for protein synthesis or deaminated, with the released nitrogen entering the plant's nitrogen assimilation pathway. The soy protein hydrolyzate also contains signaling peptides that have been shown to upregulate nitrogen transport and assimilation enzymes, improving the plant's efficiency in using both applied and soil-derived nitrogen. The product's biostimulant effect includes enhanced root development, increased chlorophyll content, and improved recovery from abiotic stress including frost damage.

Target Applications and Performance
Lidatrition is recommended for vegetables, citrus, fruit trees, vine, olive, floriculture, ornamentals, nurseries, and industrial cultivations.

Specific use cases:

  • General crop supplementation throughout the growing cycle

  • Post-frost recovery: Indicated specifically for application after frost damage

Application Specifications

Root Application

  • Rate: 1.0 gallon per acre, distributed throughout an application plan

Foliar Application

Application Type Rate (pints/acre) Water Volume (gal/acre)
Standard foliar application 1.0 80 (concentration basis)
Post-frost damage recovery 1.5 80 (concentration basis)

Water Volume Guidelines

  • Vegetables: 40 to 80 gallons per acre

  • Trees: 70 to 90 gallons per acre

Use Restrictions and Warnings
Use only when necessary. Do not exceed the recommended rate. The user is responsible for any damages caused by lack of efficacy, toxicity, or residues due to failure to follow label instructions. Keep out of reach of children. Keep away from food, drinks, and cattle feed.

Storage and Handling
Avoid low temperatures in winter and temperatures above 82°F (28°C). Avoid direct light and long storage periods. Store containers between 5°C and 35°C (41°F to 95°F) in a dry, well-ventilated place. Keep away from oxidizing agents and highly acidic or alkaline materials. Keep away from sources of heat, radiation, and electricity. Avoid contact with food. Once opened, containers must be carefully closed and placed vertically to prevent spills. Never use pressure to empty containers; they are not pressure-resistant.

Safety and First Aid
The product is not classified as hazardous under Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008. No individual protection equipment is necessary when the product is handled correctly, though work footwear is recommended. In the application area, smoking, eating, and drinking must be prohibited.

  • Inhalation: If breathing stops, seek emergency medical attention. Move victim to open air; keep warm and calm. If breathing is irregular or stops, perform artificial respiration.

  • Eye contact: Remove contact lenses if present. Wash eyes with plenty of clean, cool water for at least 10 minutes while holding eyelids open. Seek medical assistance.

  • Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing.

  • Ingestion: Keep calm. Never induce vomiting.

No known acute or delayed effects from exposure to the product. In case of doubt or when symptoms persist, get medical attention. Never administer anything orally to unconscious persons.

Environmental Precautions
Do not allow product to enter sewers or waterways. Prevent penetration into the ground. Contain and collect spills with inert absorbent material (earth, sand, vermiculite, diatomite). Clean area immediately with a suitable decontaminant. Dispose of waste according to local and national regulations.

Firefighting Measures
Suitable extinguishing media include powder, CO₂, alcohol-resistant foam, and water spray. Do not use a direct stream of water. In the presence of electrical voltage, do not use water or foam. Exposure to combustion or decomposition products can be harmful to health. Use water to cool containers close to a heat source or fire. Use protective suits against heat, individual breathing equipment, gloves, protective goggles or facemasks, and boots according to fire size.
