Details

Silver Bullet is a water-soluble nutrient supplement formulated to provide bioavailable sulfur for horticultural applications, particularly in controlled-environment cultivation. The product is derived from elemental sulfur processed with a specific surfactant to enhance solubility and plant uptake.

Product Configuration and Specifications
This product is defined by its high-concentration active ingredient, available container sizes, and organic certification. The guaranteed analysis is 97.86% Sulfur (S) derived from elemental sulfur. The remaining 2.14% consists of the non-plant food ingredient poly(oxy-1,2-ethanediyl, a-(nonylphenyl)-w-hydroxy, which functions as an enzymatic ionic surfactant. The product is offered in multiple container sizes: 1 oz, 8 oz, 32 oz, 4 lb, 10 lb, and 30 lb. It is certified organic by NOFA.

Functional Mechanism and Design
The product's efficacy is based on the role of sulfur as an essential secondary macronutrient. The proprietary enzymatic ionic surfactant uses water polarity to adhere sulfur to water molecules, increasing its solubility and bioavailability compared to traditional elemental or oil-based sulfur products. This design allows it to be applied as both a foliar spray and a root drench without the phytotoxicity risks associated with oil-based carriers.

Target Applications and Performance
The primary application is the prevention and correction of sulfur deficiency in plants, which manifests as yellowing or pinkish new leaves and reduced foliar growth. Its performance is characterized by promoting vigorous vegetative growth when used as a foliar spray and enhancing terpene, resin, and oil production when used as a root drench during the flowering stage. The product also functions to balance nitrogen uptake and stimulate oxygen absorption.

Application Specifications and Protocol
The product is mixed with dechlorinated water. The solution should be adjusted to a pH between 5.5 and 6.8 before application.

Standard Application Protocol:

  • Root Drench: 1/2 teaspoon (approximately 2 grams) per gallon of water during the flowering stage.

  • Foliar Spray: 1/2 teaspoon (approximately 2 grams) per gallon of water during the vegetative stage, applied to upper and undersides of foliage.

  • Dosage Adjustment: The dosage can be incrementally increased as needed, up to a maximum of 10 grams per gallon. The absolute upper limit is 15 grams per gallon.

  • Frequency: One application per week is suggested for either method.

  • Compatibility: Do not apply to plants treated with an oil-based product (e.g., neem oil, horticultural oils) within the preceding 2-4 weeks.

Handling and Safety
Store in a cool, dry place. The product is a supplement and should be used in addition to a base nutrient regimen. Users should monitor PPM and EC levels. Standard personal hygiene should be observed after handling any concentrated horticultural product.
