Details

Dosatron 3/4-Inch Parts & Seal Kits are genuine replacement components for the maintenance, repair, and calibration of Dosatron proportional dosing injectors with 3/4-inch NPT connections. These parts are engineered to restore injectors—including the D14, D14MZ2, D14MZ1000, D14MZ3000, and D25 series—to their original performance specifications. The components are categorized by their function within the injector's hydraulic and mechanical systems.

Hydraulic System Components
These parts manage the flow and sealing of water and concentrate within the injector's pressure chambers.

  • Check Valves and Assemblies: The injector's precision relies on check valves that open and close with each piston cycle to control fluid direction. The Polypropylene Check Valve with Hastelloy Spring is a complete unit for standard-pressure applications, offering corrosion resistance. The Check Valve Assembly for D14MZ3000HY and the Check Valve Assembly Seals kit are specialized for low-flow models, containing the valve seat, spring, and seals. The Check Valve Nut secures this assembly within the housing.

  • Plunger (Piston) Assemblies: The plunger is the central moving part that creates the suction and injection action. Plunger Rods for the D14MZ1000 and D14MZ3000 are the structural shafts. The Plunger Seal for D14MZ1000 VF is the Viton ring that creates a pressure-tight seal between the moving plunger and the stationary cylinder wall. Worn plunger seals are a primary cause of injector failure, manifesting as inconsistent dosing or a complete loss of suction.

  • Bell Housing O-Rings: The D14 Series Bell Housing O-Rings (JDI001) are large-diameter seals located between the main injector body and the end cap. They prevent external leaks and are a common part replaced during annual service.

Fluid Path and Filtration Components
These parts comprise the external and internal lines that deliver concentrate from the stock tank to the injector.

  • Suction Line Parts: This includes the 6mm Suction Hose, Hose Strainer (a coarse filter that attaches to the hose end in the stock tank), and the Polyethylene Injection Hose (a smaller 4mm line for specific low-flow models). Hose Nuts (e.g., 16mm Hose Nut, Suction Hose Nut for D14MZ3000) are the brass fittings that secure the hose to the injector's suction port.

  • Strainer Assemblies: The Strainer Assembly for D14MZ3000 and the D14MZ2 hose assembly are integrated units that combine a foot valve, strainer, and weighted base or hose. They are submerged in the concentrate tank to draw fluid while filtering out particulates that could clog the internal check valves.

Comprehensive Seal and Rebuild Kits
These kits group critical wear components for scheduled maintenance or complete overhauls.

  • Seal Kits: A Seal Kit contains all the internal seals and O-rings necessary to refurbish the injector's wetted chambers. Kits are model-specific and material-specific: D14MZ2 Viton Seal Kit (WDOS634), D14MZ2 Aflas Seal Kit (WDOS635), D14MZ3000 Viton Seal Kit (WDOS636), and D14MZ3000 Aflas Seal Kit (WDOS637). The D14MZ2 Viton/Kalrez Seal Kit (WDOS641) includes high-performance Kalrez seals for the piston, suitable for aggressive oxidizers.

  • Rebuild Kits: A Rebuild Kit is the most comprehensive service package. It typically includes all parts from a Seal Kit plus additional wear items like the check valve assembly seals, O-rings, and sometimes the plunger seal or other gaskets. These kits are designed to restore a heavily used or malfunctioning injector to like-new condition.

Maintenance Protocol and Failure Diagnosis
A structured maintenance schedule is essential. The suction line strainer should be inspected and cleaned monthly. An annual overhaul involving the replacement of the seal kit is recommended for injectors in continuous use. Complete rebuilds with a rebuild kit may be necessary every few years or when performance issues arise. Common failure modes include loss of suction (often caused by a worn plunger seal or clogged check valve), inconsistent dosing (linked to sticky or worn check valves), and external leaks (typically from failed bell housing or port O-rings). Using only genuine Dosatron replacement parts ensures chemical compatibility, dimensional accuracy, and maintains the injector's calibrated performance.
