Central Coast Green Cleaner Miticide
About this product
Central Coast Green Cleaner is an oil-based, multi-mode-of-action contact miticide, insecticide, and fungicide for horticultural plants, supplied in 2.5-gallon and 55-gallon commercial volumes. It controls spider mites, broad mites, russet mites, aphids, whiteflies, mealybugs, and other soft-bodied insects, as well as powdery mildew, acting on egg, immature, and adult life stages. Because control is physical (smothering and desiccation) rather than chemical-toxicological, pests do not develop resistance with repeated use, making the product suitable for resistance-management and integrated pest management (IPM) programs.
Guaranteed Analysis / Active Ingredients
| Component | Percentage | CAS No. |
|---|---|---|
| Soybean Oil | 39% | 8001-22-7 |
| Sodium Lauryl Sulfate | 19% | 68585-47-7 |
| Inert Ingredients (water, isopropyl alcohol, sodium citrate, citric acid) | 42% | -- |
Functional Mechanism
Multiple simultaneous modes of action operating on direct contact: soybean oil coats target pests and fungal spores, smothering them and limiting respiration and propagation; sodium lauryl sulfate immobilizes pests, preventing them from grooming off the oil layer; isopropyl alcohol and citric acid dehydrate and desiccate eggs, immature stages, and adults. Against powdery mildew, the oil film blocks spore release while the alcohol desiccates the fungus and citric acid lowers surface pH. None of these physical mechanisms select for pest resistance.
Target Pests
Spider mites, broad mites, russet mites, aphids, whiteflies, mealybugs, other soft-bodied insects, and powdery mildew.
Application Specifications
- Mixing rate: 1 to 2 oz per gallon of water (concentrate; dilution scales to the volumes below).
- Method: apply as a knockdown spray for active infestations or as a scheduled component of an IPM program. Thoroughly saturate all plant surfaces, including leaf undersides, since control occurs only where the spray contacts the pest.
- Growth stages: usable across all stages, from clones through harvest.
- Re-entry interval (REI): 0 hours.
- Pre-harvest interval (PHI): 0 days.
Packaging
| Size | Case / Pallet Configuration |
|---|---|
| 2.5-Gallon | 2 per case, 45 cases per pallet |
| 55-Gallon drum | 4 per pallet |
Use Restrictions
For use on horticultural plants. Not for use on food or feed crops.
