Details
Arable Acres digital microscopes are designed for detailed inspection across soldering, electronics repair, coin collection, and biological study. The product line includes portable handheld WiFi models as well as benchtop systems with integrated LCD screens and adjustable metal boom arm stands, supporting high-definition video recording, HDMI output, and PC connectivity.
Construction and Design
Benchtop models include a metal pro boom arm stand with full adjustability for front-to-rear, left-to-right, and angular positioning to accommodate large work envelopes. The stands are constructed from strong metal suitable for high-temperature soldering environments. Display sizes vary by model, with options including 7-inch and 10.1-inch integrated LCD screens. Remote control operation is available on select models for menu navigation and functions including digital zoom and image adjustment. Portable handheld models are constructed from lightweight plastic and are designed for field use without an integrated stand.
Optical System and Magnification
Select benchtop models utilize an interchangeable multi-lens system for versatile observation, with lenses secured via screw mount. Lenses are application-specific and include:
-
Soldering and Repair Lens: Provides a working distance of 90mm to 300mm for circuit board and watch repair.
-
Specimen Lens: Provides a working distance of 12mm to 320mm for observing coins, stamps, stones, and other whole or partial specimens.
-
Biological Lens: Provides a working distance of 4mm to 5mm for high-magnification observation of microscope slides.
Magnification ranges are dependent on lens selection, screen size, and output method. On integrated LCD screens with digital zoom, magnification ranges vary by lens from 4.5x up to 510x. When output to an external HDMI monitor with digital zoom, maximum magnification can reach up to 2040x depending on lens and monitor size. Portable handheld models offer fixed-lens configuration with magnification up to 1000x and an optimal focal length range of 3mm to 60mm.
Imaging and Recording
Select benchtop models capture video at resolutions including UHD 2880x2160 (24fps), FHD 1920x1080 (60fps or 30fps), and HD 1280x720 (120fps). Still images are captured in JPG format at resolutions up to 24 megapixels (5600x4200). Portable models capture 1080P HD images for smartphone viewing and 720P for computer display, utilizing a 2MP HD CMOS sensor.
Adjustable LED illumination with multiple intensity levels provides optimal lighting for different specimen types. Benchtop models feature eight intensity levels with flexible gooseneck positioning, while portable models integrate eight fixed LED lights around the lens. Select benchtop models include transmitted light bases for slide observation.
Compatibility and Connectivity
Benchtop units support simultaneous operation of the integrated LCD screen and HDMI output to an external monitor. USB connectivity enables connection to Windows PCs, with measurement software available for select models for length calculation, area measurement, photo capture, and video recording. All necessary cables are included. Images and video can be stored directly to removable SD cards.
Portable handheld models feature wireless WiFi connectivity for direct connection to Android and iOS mobile devices via dedicated application, as well as USB connectivity for Windows and Mac computers. The portable units are powered via USB (5V) and weigh 0.31 kilograms.
